Women who stay with men, for mostly financial reasons, even when they are miserable…

Make me fucking crazy. In my book you don’t get to have your cake and eat it too. I was in a miserable relationship, but I supported myself, it wasn’t ever about money.

Women who wait around to leave, waiting…

Some stay for financial reasons, some stay for the kids, some stay out of fear, some stay because they’re afraid of being alone.  I don’t think it gives anyone the right to judge them.  If a woman has been married for 10+ years where she left her job to raise children, stepping back into the job world is a major change that just doesn’t happen over night.  You said you were miserable in your relationship but were financially secure; why did you stay in such a relationship then?

I have stayed in unhappy relationships because I wanted to try to work it out, and sometimes it took me four months to realize I had to let go and move on, and sometimes it took me a month.  No one has the right to judge people for their decisions.  Some would judge you for staying in the relationship you had, do you think that is fair?  No one has a right to judge you; they don’t know what you went through, how you felt, and what went on behind closed doors.
